More than ten years ago, Takuro found that he could just not live in Japan and started traveling, eventually ending up in the remote countryside of Balangan, Bali. What awaited him there was the never-ending solitary journey of the heart in search of true freedom. “I may as well surf here for a while…”. There, Takuro built himself a small inn to make a living and became a surfer-cum-innkeeper. It was the moment that his real life began.

Quiet about his past, Takuro is a specialist in entertaining people. He creates an atmosphere which somehow makes people feel that something exciting is about to happen. Every year, many tourists and surfers who tend to be the carefree and wandering type gather from all around the world just to be near him, under his special atmosphere. Jackie is one of them. A surfer-cum-artist living in Kugenuma on the Shonan coast, Jackie visits Takuro during the rainy off season… Full of carefree conversations and childish mischief, this nonchalant documentary series radiates a quirky charm.
