The Natural Heritage

Iron towers shoot through the clouds, electric cables burry the sky, buildings fill up the ground like a concrete carpet… Cities were originally built to protect people from natural disasters but the urban landscape has since spread, creating a radical change from the world of the past. At first glance, urban sprawl looks like an aberration. It could also be argued to be unavoidable. While cities seem to be developing against nature, sometimes both can co-exist in interesting ways. This film expresses the creator’s feelings as he travels through a gray artificial world that grows without acknowledging the existence of its human inhabitants. A world which is also the other face of nature.
