“POLOS on earth” is a free video site which provides multilanguage subtitles.
When I select a language for a video, it brings me back to POLOS’ homepage in that language
You can not change the language from a video’s page. To watch a video in the language of your choice, first go to the homepage and type the title in the search box. Please note the video may not be available in the language you selected.

How many languages do you support?
At the moment,“POLOS on earth” is available in Japanese, English and French. We will be adding more languages in the future so that people from around the world may enjoy our site.

How much does it cost to view “POLOS on earth”?
All video viewing services are free of charge on “POLOS on earth”. Users do not need to pay anything. All you need is the right internet environment to view contents on our site.

How do I save video contents on my computer?

Why is “POLOS on earth” a multilanguage broadcast?
With the concept “Creating a world without borders”, “POLOS on earth” aims to build an online broadcast station that can be viewed worldwide. We will offer information to people around the world and provide a place for expression for creators by eliminating borders and sharing information as well as contents.

How do I find out what’s new?
New programs will be displayed on the home page as well as the channel and genre pages with a “NEW” sign. Information on new programs will be updated on the News page as well as in e-mail newsletters for subscribers.

I cannot select language
The program may not be provided in the language you selected. If you cannot select between English/Japanese/French, please check our Recommended Viewing Environment before contacting us.

Viewing on a Macintosh computer
We do not recommend viewing on a Macintosh computer as there may be difficulties in playing the contents. For more information, go to Recommended Viewing Environment.

Media file formats
If the original file is in FLV format, it will be played as FLV on FlashPlayer regardless of its version but file formats will be selected for MPEG4 depending on the environment. On FlashPlayer version 9.0.115 or later it will be played as MPEG4, on versions earlier than 9.0.115 it will be played as FLV

Difficulties in playing full Hi-Vision videos
Full Hi-Vision quality videos have a large file size and may not be played properly depending on your computer’s specifications or internet connection. Please refer to the Recommended Viewing Environment.

How do I view full screen?
To view full screen, click the full screen button on the control bar. You cannot view full screen if your FlashPlayer is earlier than version 9.

How do I pause while viewing a program?
To pause a video while viewing, press the pause button on the media player. To resume viewing, press the play button. Once you jump to another page or shut down your computer, you will not be able to resume viewing from the point where you paused.

A message saying “Your environment may not support proper viewing of our contents” appears and I cannot view videos
Video contents may not play properly due to resident security softwares or antivirus softwares. Disable these softwares temporarily and play again. If the contents still do not play properly, please contact us by sending us your computer specifications and explaining your trouble.

Troubles including “unable to play video contents” or “getting noises.”
Check our Recommended Viewing Environment. If your system meets the requirements but you still have problems playing, please contact us.

User functions
How can I register as user? Why do I need to?
The registration allows users to add comments and ratings on a video.
If you don’t want to register, you can still watch the videos.

How can I leave a comment and rating on a video?
First you need to register as a user onto the site. Once your registration is confirmed, login from the homepage’s bottom link and you can write a comment on the video. Rating is also available after your registration. In the video page, you only need to click the number of stars (out of 5).

Can I delete my comment?
You can delete your comment from the video page you commented on. Click the “edit” link next to your comment and choose “delete” on the right side.

My comment doesn’t appear even after I uploaded it.

Comments are subject to editorial review and will be reflected on the site within a few days. This delay will be reduced in the future.

Others
I want to know about the programs’ details.
To view details of programs, select the program from the home page or the program page to jump to the viewing page. The program’s story, cast, staff, images will be posted there.

I want to know about the creator.
Information on the creators will be posted on the viewing page of each program. If the creator’s website URL is not listed, if you would like to request production of a program or if you have any opinions or comments on our contents, please fill in the Inquiry form (link) and send it to us.

I want to know who the sponsors are
Check the sponsors’ banners on the upper right of the viewing page of each program.
